Three years ago we revised our curriculum to put greater emphasis on cultural competency; we added two courses (GERM 206, GERM 306) taught in English (one of which counts toward the major) and deliberately focused our other courses on language acquisition through cultural artifacts, film, art, architecture, and literature. At the time, we thought we had officially changed the program title to reflect theses revisions, but we recently discovered that it remains unchanged.
