Currently for the applied behavior analysis (ABA) specialization is housed in the Master's of Science in Special Education. The ABA course sequence has a SPED prefix. Consequently, students are thinking they can become licensed special education teachers in addition to licensed applied behavior analysts. To eliminate this confusion for students and for the ND Educational Standards and Practices Board (ESPB), we are requesting the ABA prefix for the ABA specialization.
