The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science proposes a new prefix, EECS, which would eventually be used for the majority of classes taught within the School. The new prefix would recognize the interdisciplinary nature of many of the courses taught in the electrical engineering, computer science, data science, and cybersecurity degree programs.
The current EE and CSCI prefixes would be maintained for those courses which have common course numbers with other NDUS institutions. This includes, for example, EE206 and CSCI160.
