Description: |
We request reactivation of the Post-Graduate Certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner (NURS-Cert-FNP) and Post-Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (NURS-Cert-PMHP) programs beginning in the fall semester of 2019. Once revised, we expect the program to benefit students by providing a path to acquire marketable skills at the graduate level and the ability to acquire certification in specialized fields.
Suspension of the certificate programs was requested due to low enrollment and competitive disadvantages due to credits required. The curriculum has been revised by the faculty to bring the number of credits into line with market standards while maintaining curricular rigor. As Nursing will be partnering with an online program management vendor in 2019, enrollment is expected to be sufficient to support program activation (based on projections provided in proformas).
