*The combination of the Pre-Podiatry Program with a major in the College of Arts and Sciences can usually be finished in 4 years if both major and Pre-Podiatry classes are started freshmen year (the Forensic Science Evidence Analyst track is an exception). The combination of the Pre-Podiatry program with a major outside of the College of Arts and Sciences, such as Athletic Training, Aviation, Community Nutrition, Dietetics, Education, Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical), Nursing or Medical Laboratory Science will take longer. These majors include busy curricula and/or practicums, and in most cases if you plan to combine one of them with Pre-Podiatry, you will need at least 5 years of undergraduate studies to do so. Planning Pre-Podiatry schedules for these 5 year majors is complicated, so students pursuing this will need to meet with the Health Sciences Advisor during their first semester to work out their long range plan.
**Pre-Podiatry courses include:
Non-Science course requirements: Eng 110 and 130, Psych 111, Psych 250, Psych 270, Soc 110, Comm 110, and a Statistics class such as Psych 241 or Soc 326, Med 205, Nutr 240
Science course requirements: Chem 341-342 (with labs), Phys 211-212 (with labs), Biol 315, Biol 341, BMB 301, Biol 442 or PPT 301
Science course electives: Anat 204+L, Biol 364+L, Biol 369+L, Biol 378, Biol 390, Biol 415, Bio 420, Biol 460, Mbio 302, Mbio 328
All students must fulfill Essential Studies requirements to graduate: http://und.edu/academics/essential-studies/requirements.cfm
